AFRO HORIZON FESTIVAL

AFRO HORIZON FESTIVAL

Dates: Friday, December 18 — Sunday, December 20, 2026
(3-day festival)

About the Festival

Where Africa Meets the World

The Afro Horizon Festival is a landmark three-day cultural celebration coming to the heart of Toronto this December. Uniting artists, designers, musicians, and cultural ambassadors from across the African diaspora and beyond, the festival is a vibrant declaration of African identity, creativity, and pride on Canadian soil.

Through immersive exhibitions, dazzling runway presentations, and electrifying live music, Afro Horizon invites all of Toronto — and the world — to experience the extraordinary richness of African heritage.

Festival Program

Three Days of Extraordinary Experience

Every moment of Afro Horizon Festival is crafted to inspire, connect, and celebrate the depth of African culture.

  • Afro Art Exhibition

A curated showcase of contemporary and traditional African artworks — paintings, sculptures, photography, and mixed media — telling stories of identity, history, and transformation. Witness the power of African visual language through the hands of gifted artists from across the continent and the diaspora.

  • African Fashion Show

A spectacular runway event celebrating the bold colours, intricate patterns, and masterful craftsmanship of African fashion. From Ankara prints to Kente weaves, designers and models will bring the continent’s sartorial heritage to life in a show that blurs the line between fashion and fine art.

  • Afro Music Concert

A pulse-raising live concert featuring Afrobeats, Highlife, Afro-soul, and more. Performers from across Africa and the diaspora will fill Lithuania House with rhythms that have moved generations — a night of music that transcends borders and speaks directly to the soul.

Our Mission

Promoting African Heritage in Canada

The Afro Horizon Festival is driven by a single, powerful purpose: to promote and preserve African heritage, art, and culture within Canada and on the global stage. We believe that culture is the bridge between peoples — and through art, fashion, and music, we build connections that enrich communities, challenge perceptions, and inspire future generations of African Canadians and culture lovers everywhere.

This festival is more than an event. It is a movement — an affirmation that African culture deserves to be seen, heard, and celebrated with the recognition it has always deserved.
